Donation and Marie Steiner Book 2

Marie Steiner-Ita Wegman

In August 2026, Theodor Hundhammer and Nino Vashakidze wish to continue and deepen in Moscow the work that began at the Eurythmy4you Peace Festival in Sugdidi, Georgia, and has since been carried on online. For eurythmy requires a shared space, correction, artistic form and human encounter.

This step was prepared by the interview on Marie Steiner and Ita Wegman: What is alive in the struggle for eurythmy and therapeutic eurythmy, and how can eurythmy be passed on in a living way today?

In doing so, we wish to be guided by the three forces of the future – humour, serenity and generosity – and place our work with eurythmy under their protection. With your donation, you are enabling people to take part who would otherwise be unable to undertake this journey. If you are able to give more than the minimum contribution, you will be directly supporting the next step in this collaborative eurythmy work.

As a thank you, you are expected to receive the written transcript of the interview on Marie Steiner, containing a wealth of additional information, by 16 July 2026.

An Attempt to Understand Marie Steiner

Marie Steiner was an actress, speech artist, Rudolf Steiner’s artistic companion, and a co-founder of Eurythmy.

Behind her public work stands a deeply moving biography: childhood between Poland and Russia, artistic searching in Paris, inner crises, great spiritual ideals, and dramatic conflicts after Rudolf Steiner’s death.

In the book we approach Marie Steiner from a human and biographical perspective — while also asking what her impulses may mean for the living transmission of Eurythmy today.

The Work in Moscow

For more than a year now, a group of people from Russia has been working online together with Eurythmy4you on foundations of Eurythmy — in tone eurythmy, rod eurythmy, speech eurythmy, and the theme of high sensitivity.

This work began in the summer of 2025 in Sugdidi, Georgia, and has continued online week after week ever since.

Now this work is meant to become a real encounter.

In August 2026, Theodor Hundhammer and Nino Vashakidze are planning a shared working week in Moscow — as a continuation and deepening of this common path. There, the work that has continued growing online since the Peace Festival in Sugdidi will be further deepened and developed in real human encounter.

Because Eurythmy cannot be transmitted through digital means alone. What has been developed together eventually needs shared space, correction, artistic form, and human encounter.

These questions are also connected to the conversation about Marie Steiner: How can Eurythmy be passed on in a living way today? What possibilities does online work open? And where is real encounter indispensable?

Helping Make the Moscow Working Week Possible

With your contribution during registration, you directly support the planned working week of Theodor Hundhammer and Nino Vashakidze in Moscow.

In this way, we hope to make possible the journey, the work on site, and the participation of people who have worked intensively together since Sugdidi and throughout the following online meetings.

For some of the Russian participants, participation will only be possible if sufficient support can be found.

We therefore hope that many of you will choose to give more than the minimum contribution. If this is possible for you, you directly support the next step of this shared Eurythmy work.

You can enter your own contribution during registration

The regular recommended contribution for this evening is at least 20 Euros. This includes participation in the conversation evening, the PDF book for preparation, and the presentation after the event.

If you are able to give more, we would be very grateful for a supporting contribution. With 50, 100 Euros or more, you directly help make the journey to Moscow and the participation of individual Russian participants possible.

Please only use the reduced contribution of 10 Euros if 20 Euros is truly not possible for you at the moment. It is important to us that nobody is excluded — but also that this work can be genuinely supported and carried forward.

With your contribution, you support not only one evening, but the next concrete step of a Eurythmy work that has been growing for more than a year and is now meant to continue in Moscow in real human encounter.

About the First Book

Marie Steiner von Sivers Book

Marie Steiner von Sivers
Biography · Cultural Impulse · Fields of Tension

This book seeks to help readers understand Marie Steiner beyond sympathy and antipathy. It traces her outer biography, her collaboration with Rudolf Steiner, her personal impulses, and the conflicts following Rudolf Steiner’s death.

At its centre stands Marie Steiner as a pioneer in the search for the word that arises from within.

“Without becoming tendentious in any way, but with understanding and heart, you present a clear picture of this personality and her surroundings.”

Ursula Piffaretti, director of the Beer Bookshop, Zurich

When registering for the conversation evening, you will receive an English PDF version of the book for preparation.
